Facility:This regional medical center is a Level 3 trauma facility serving the Northeast Texas community with a dedicated pediatric department featuring 3 pediatric beds and 14 nursery beds. The facility offers strong ancillary support services including 24-hour availability of anesthesia, laboratory, radiology, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and a catheterization lab.
Opportunity:Board Certified - Physician - Hospitalist - Pediatrics
Job Details:- Locum Tenens opportunity beginning September 1, 2026 on an ongoing basis
- Drive-in candidates only - no fly-in candidates will be considered
- Coverage required on weekends, up to 15 days per month spread over 2-3 weekends per month
- Flexible scheduling available for awarded locum provider(s)
- Call only coverage with 7a-7a shifts
- Patient encounters per shift: 4-8
- Provide pediatric inpatient care with PICU experience preferred
- Nursery Level I and Level II/NICU experience preferred
- Attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries as required
- Manage non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) for pediatric patients
- Perform acute and chronic pediatric ventilation management
- Perform newborn and pediatric intubation
- Central line placement required
- Active Texas license or IMLC required to be considered
- Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)
- Required certifications: ABLS, BLS, and PALS
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30 days
