Key Responsibilities:
- Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork
- Diagnose system issues and perform repairs in a timely manner
- Perform routine maintenance (filter changes, system cleaning, inspections)
- Test system performance and ensure proper operation
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Handle refrigerants safely in accordance with EPA regulations
- Communicate with customers regarding issues, solutions, and recommendations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and the company vehicle in good condition
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician
- Knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC components
- EPA Certification (required for handling refrigerants)
- Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
- Valid driver's license
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs)
- Work in confined spaces, attics, and outdoors in various weather conditions
