Job Description Job Description Negoshian's is looking to add to the team! We are looking for a experienced diesel mechanic.
Requirements:
- Pass a pre employment drug test and random drug tests
- Must have own tools, required
- Certified in brakes
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS B,
preferred but not required - Pass a DOT physical
- Process and tracks repair orders
- OEM Certifications, licenses, and registrations preferred
- Certified in Air Brake adjustments
- Heavy & Light duty truck experience
- Trailer experience helpful preferred but not required
- Cummins engines preferred
Responsibilities:
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- Performs standard vehicle maintenance
- Performs standard component inspections and repairs
- Performs preventive maintenance
- Diagnoses electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
- Identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
- Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
- Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task
- Works in accordance with all federal, state, & company compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT)
- Performs other support duties as required to support operations
- Experience using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand/power tools)
Physical Requirements:
- Required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended length of time throughout their scheduled working period.
- Required to use their hands on a routine and daily basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or otherwise operate required tools or controls.
- Willing to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
