Welder/Fabricator - Custom Manufacturing Environment
Assignment Length: Long-term contract opportunity (6+ months)
Schedule: 50-60+ hours per week available
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay, weekly payroll, per diem assistance, and travel reimbursement available for qualified travelers
We are seeking experienced Welder/Fabricators to support production in a custom manufacturing and fabrication environment serving industrial and commercial projects.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong hands-on fabrication experience (at least 5+ years) who are comfortable working from blueprints and producing high-quality custom components in a fast-paced shop setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding and fabrication on a variety of metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and fabrication drawings
- Fabricate custom parts and assemblies to customer specifications
- Work with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum materials
- Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain high quality standards and attention to detail
- Support shop safety, housekeeping, and team production goals
- Assist with fit-up, weld prep, grinding, and finishing operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of welding/fabrication experience in a manufacturing or custom fabrication environment
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Experience with MIG welding in multiple positions preferred
- Familiarity with fabrication tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment
- Ability to work extended overtime schedules as needed
- Overhead crane and forklift experience is a plus (training may be provided)
Tools & Equipment:
Candidates should be prepared to bring standard fabrication and welding tools, including PPE, basic hand tools, measuring tools, clamps, and welding gear.
