As a Diesel Truck Mechanic specializing in heavy-duty trucks, you will join a small team dedicated to maintaining and repairing Freightliner, Mack, and International vehicles. This role focuses on ensuring optimal engine performance, brake system reliability, and overall vehicle safety, with limited customer interaction. Proficiency in diagnostics and preventive maintenance is essential to support operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diesel engine repair and routine maintenance on heavy-duty trucks
  • Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting using Jaltest software and other tools
  • Replace parts and repair hydraulic hoses as needed
  • Test and maintain drum and disc brake systems, including DEF system maintenance
  • Execute preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and ensure vehicle safety
  • Document maintenance and repair activities accurately
  • Collaborate effectively within a small team of 2-5 mechanics

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel truck mechanics
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and hydraulic systems
  • Proficiency in brake system maintenance, including drum and disc brakes
  • Skilled in preventive maintenance and problem-solving
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage time efficiently
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Certificate in Diesel Mechanics
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
