What You ll Do
- Provide inpatient care, including rounding on post-op patients
- Assist in surgical procedures (first assist) in cardiothoracic surgeries
- See and evaluate patients in outpatient clinics
- Interpret EKGs, X-rays, labs, and manage devices such as ECMO, IABP, and Impella
- Conduct endoscopic and radial artery harvesting procedures
- Participate in on-call duties, including beeper calls and 24-hour coverage
- Support ongoing patient care needs during scheduled shifts and on-call periods
What You Need
- Active California medical license and DEA
- Board Certified in a relevant specialty (preferably cardiothoracic or cardiovascular)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery
- Proficiency with EKG interpretation, chest X-ray review, lab analysis, and devices like ECMO and Impella
- Flexibility to work day shifts and on-call hours, including nights and weekends
