Infectious Disease Physician

Shift: Day

Position Highlights:

• 100% focus on adult Infectious Disease
• Balanced schedule: 70% inpatient care and 30% outpatient clinic
• Opportunity to manage diverse and complex ID cases
• Provide travel consultations, immunizations, and immigration physicals
• Access to outpatient IV antibiotics (home, infusion center, nursing home)
• Weekly onsite CME + additional CME & grand rounds through Mayo Clinic Care Network
• Optional teaching of medical students and advanced practice trainees
• Work alongside strong medical and surgical subspecialty support, including interventional radiology
• Supportive and collaborative team structure with leadership invested in physician success

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert Infectious Disease care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage infectious conditions including complex, chronic, and travel-related cases
• Oversee antimicrobial stewardship and coordinate outpatient IV therapy as needed
• Participate in teaching and mentoring (optional)
• Attend CME programs and maintain engagement in professional development
• Collaborate closely with hospital specialists and clinical teams
