Critical Care Nurse Practitioner

Overview:
A hospital-based opportunity is available for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage in an ICU and step-down unit setting. This role involves managing critically ill patients, performing procedures, and working both autonomously and in collaboration with critical care physicians.
Compensation:
$150/hr
Assignment Dates:
June 1, 2026 October 2, 2026
Schedule:
Monday Friday
Day/Evening shifts
Minimum 40 hours per week, with potential for up to 50 hours as needed
Practice Details:
Setting: Inpatient ICU and Step-Down Unit
Patient Population: Adult
EMR: Epic
Autonomy: Yes, with supervising and critical care physicians available
Patient Volume:
Up to 10 patient notes per day
Additional responsibility for phone coverage of all inpatients
Procedures:
Central line placement
Arterial line placement
Chest tube placement and removal
Wound vac changes
Requirements:
NCCPA Board Certified Required
Active New York License Required
ACLS Required
ICU experience Required (no new graduates)
Epic experience Required
Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: 6 weeks
