- ED beds: Hospitals: 30-50 beds, FSED: 16-25 beds
- Average patients/hour expected of PA: 1.5 -2 pph
- EMR system: Epic (w/ PACS, Dragon dictation, and AI scribe)
- Physician coverage model: 70% physician/ 30% APC
- Scribe / support staff: AI scribe, HUC (unit secretary), Tech (splints/IV)
- Specialty back-up: Hospitals (Most Surgical Specialists, Anesthesia, OBGYN) some IR
- Larger facility includes Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, EP, Ophthalmology
- FSED: RT 24/7, Doc on site
Position Details
- Mostly 9-& 10-hour shifts. Occasional 12-hour shifts.
- Independent Contractor Model
- Most physicians average 120-160hrs/month
- Weekend / holiday/ night participation expected
- Procedures expected: all core emergency medicine procedures/ABEM qualified procedures (ex: endotracheal intubation (direct & video laryngoscopy), cricothyroidotomy, chest tube placement, central lines, IO placement, pericardiocentesis, needle thoracotomy, vaginal deliveries, laceration repairs, I&D, FB removal, full eye exam, POCUS/FAST exam, procedural sedation)
- Patient population: Mixed based on site (community and urban sites represented)
- Productivity expectations: 1.6 -2.6 pph
- Supervision model: strong physician oversight of APCs
- Call requirement: Volunteer
- Onboarding & Go-live orientation
- 350 Physicians and 150 APP s
- Very Low Attrition Rate

Compensation
- Physicians average is $277/Hour
- Top Earners make $320 per hour
- Voluntary Paid Call - $250 for holding the page (regardless of if called in
to work or not)
• Day shift extra $40/Hour
• Mid Shift extra $50/Hour
• Night Shift extra $60
- Peak Month Rates
- If we are short shifts in a given month, the group rewards physician who work more than 130 hours month, by paying an additional $20/hour for every hour above the 130-hour mark.
- Productivity RVU bonus paid quarterly

Candidate Requirements
- Emergency Medicine Residency Trained
- ABEM or ABOEM (boarded or board eligible)
- Certifications ACLS, PALS (not currently required if boarded)
- Soft-skill priorities: Customer service excellence, clear friendly communication, positive attitude, enjoy collaboration
- Must be able to care for kids, work nights, perform core EM procedures
