Occupational Medicine Physician

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• End Date: 06/14/2027
• Schedule: M-F 8am-7pm; Sat-Sun 8am-5pm

Clinical Details

• EMR System: Athena
• Practice Settings: Clinic (Urgent Care / Occupational Medicine)
• Patients Per Day: 22 per clinician
• Age range of patient population: 2months to 100+
• Support Staff: 1.5 nurse per 1 clinician; APPs, Nursing and support staff
• Required Procedures/Duties:
  • Laceration repair (suturing)
  • Incision and drainage
  • Splinting or fracture stabilization
  • Foreign body removal
  • IV fluids administration
  • Injections and medications
  • Vaccinations and immunizations
  • Diagnostic interpretation (labs, X-rays/imaging, EKGs, rapid tests)
  • Occupational health services and work injury treatment

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Current BLS (CPR) certification
• Valid DEA certificate
• Active, unrestricted state medical license meeting all state board and regulatory requirements
• Will consider non-local providers, and reimburse for travel
• Completion of an accredited medical school program
• Completion of a residency in one of the following: Family Medicine (FM), Emergency Medicine (EM)
• Preferred Experience: 2+ years of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience
  • Prior experience in: High-volume, walk-in clinic settings & Fast-paced ambulatory or ED environments
  • Experience managing all age groups (pediatric through adult)
• Preferred Skills/Procedures: Complex laceration repair, Fracture management (splinting, reductions in some settings), Abscess I&D and minor surgical procedures, Advanced wound care, IV placement/management
• Experience with on-site diagnostics (X-ray, lab, point-of-care testing)
