Facility:This facility provides comprehensive behavioral health services through both outpatient and inpatient settings, including a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatric clinic as well as an Acute Behavioral Health Stabilization Unit. The well-supported team environment includes psychiatrists, PMHNPs, licensed therapists, RNs, psych techs, and additional clinical support staff to ensure quality patient care across all levels of service.
Opportunity:Physician - Psychiatry - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Job Details:- Primary focus is outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatric clinic coverage, Monday through Friday, seeing patients ages 4-17 from
- Average of 7-10 patient visits per day with visits scheduled in 20-minute increments ranging from 20-120 minutes depending on visit type and provider preference
- Clinic support staff includes 2 front office staff, 1 RN, and a 0.5 RN Clinic Manager supporting a team of 6 providers
- Weekend on-call coverage required for the Acute Behavioral Health Stabilization Unit, with an on-call ratio of approximately 1 week in 6-7
- Weekend on-call runs Friday at 1700 through Monday at 0800, with 24-hour phone availability for accepting new admitting patients
- Weekend on-call psychiatrist completes daily rounds on new admissions and current inpatients, with an average daily census of 15 across all units
- Inpatient unit consists of a 2-bed special care unit, 18-bed adult unit, and 18-bed adolescent unit (ages 11-17)
- PRN coverage for the Acute Behavioral Health Stabilization Unit is a possible secondary need for weekday daytime coverage
- Required clinical skills include management of anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders
- Pharmacotherapy and restraint application required; familiarity with involuntary commitments and seclusion therapy preferred
- BLS certification required; board certification required with a minimum of board certification eligible
- Active Montana license or IMLC required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 120 days
- Start date of August 1, 2026 on an ongoing basis
