Opportunity:

Physician - Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine


Job Details:

  • Emergency Medicine Board Certification required

  • Coverage needed for multiple shifts across August, September, October, November, and December

  • Shifts available in both day (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) and night (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) rotations

  • Provider staffing model includes 1 Physician 6AM-6PM and 6PM-6AM, plus 1 APP 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM daily

  • Nursing staffing includes 2 RNs around the clock plus a triage RN mid-day

  • Additional support staff includes respiratory, float RN, Nursing Supervisor, and Nurse Manager

  • Average daily census is 44 patients

  • Patient encounters per shift vary

  • 9-bed Emergency Department

  • Trauma Level 4 facility

  • 24-hour support services available including Anesthesia, General Surgery, Laboratory, Radiology, Orthopedic Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Catheterization Lab, and Vascular Surgery

  • Newborn deliveries may be received in the ED; no L&D department on site - deliver and transfer when stable

  • Active Pennsylvania license required

  • Clean malpractice history/NPDB preferred

  • Nearest airports are Pittsburgh and Latrobe; lodging recommendations in the Altoona area
