- Primary physician oversight for ICU patients during hospitalization
- Patient admissions, appropriate hospital placement, and case management
- Coordination of care with primary care physicians, consulting specialists, and sub-specialists
- End-of-life preference discussions and palliative care coordination
- Timely and proactive discharge planning with appropriate follow-up arrangements
- Effective utilization of hospital resources
- Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off Full-time Day shift
- Reports to the Medical Director
Qualifications- Active North Carolina physician's license and DEA certification
- Board certified in Critical Care Medicine
- Must be in good standing with the Medical Staff of CarolinaEast Medical Center
