Reid Health is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage at its busy Level III Trauma Center in Richmond, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking for consistent monthly shifts with a collaborative emergency medicine team and Epic EMR.
Position Details Practice Setting 217-bed regional medical center
Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
Approximately Emergency Department visits per day
26-bed Emergency Department
Collaborative team of Emergency Medicine physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants
EPIC electronic medical record
Clinical Responsibilities Evaluate and treat adult and pediatric emergency patients
Manage critical care and trauma presentations
Supervise Advanced Practice Providers as needed
Perform routine Emergency Medicine procedures including airway management, central venous access, chest tubes, and other standard ED procedures
Candidate Requirements Active Indiana medical license preferred
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)
BLS required
Emergency Medicine experience preferred
Comfortable practicing in a high-volume Emergency Department
