Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join a highly regarded Behavioral Health program in Troy, New York. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative, physician-friendly environment with strong clinical support and an established interdisciplinary team.
The psychiatrist will provide outpatient psychiatric care to adult patients within a comprehensive behavioral health program. The team includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, counselors, and case managers who work together to provide compassionate, patient-centered treatment.
Position Details:
Full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatry position
Location: Troy, NY
Provide psychiatric care for adult patients in an outpatient mental health setting
Join a collaborative team of behavioral health professionals
Immediate placement available
Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends and 1:7 weeknights
Job Responsibilities:
The Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist will:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients
Manage medication treatment and ongoing psychiatric care using evidence-based practices
Collaborate with therapists, counselors, case managers, and advanced practice providers
Develop individualized treatment plans to support patient mental health needs
Participate in scheduled weekend and weeknight call coverage
Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence
Maintain CME requirements and participate in ongoing professional development
Candidate Requirements:
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry (Required)
Active New York Medical License or willingness to obtain
DEA registration required prior to start date
Clean malpractice history highly preferred
Must not require visa sponsorship
Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required at submission
Outpatient psychiatric experience preferred
Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted
Not accepting Locum candidates
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary range: $318,449 $354,957 annually (based on experience)
$25,000 signing bonus
$30,000 retention bonus
