Job description

Opportunity:

Physician - Urology


Job Details:

  • 24-hour call coverage position with a 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM shift schedule

  • Physicians are not required to remain on-site but must be able to respond and be on-site within 20 minutes

  • Typically 2-4 calls per night with 1-2 expected on-site call-ins

  • Average of 2-5 inpatient encounters per 24-hour period

  • Average on-site call-back hours expected: 2-4 hours per day

  • If assignment is strictly 24-hour call: 2-4 hours per day of rounding with remaining hours on-call with call-back

  • Responsible for rounding on new admissions and any inpatient who requires rounding

  • Common procedures include kidney stone management, consults on CBI, stent placements, hematuria management, and difficult catheter placements

  • Patient consults and transfer/consult questions expected while on call

  • Board certification required (minimum certified level)

  • General urology experience with adult patients required

  • Ureteroscopy experience required

  • Laparoscopic surgery experience preferred

  • Nephrectomy experience preferred

  • Pediatric urology not required

The facility supports a full urology program including inpatient rounding, surgical procedures, and call coverage. The organization is equipped to handle a wide range of urological cases and maintains high standards for physician documentation and patient care.
