- Mixed acuity PCU and Med/Surg unit within a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) setting
- Hematologic oncology patient population including leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma, aplastic anemia, amyloidosis, and myeloproliferative disorders
- Specialized procedures include autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy
- Required skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line blood draw, PICC line management, peripheral line care, feeding tube care, and use of Rapid Response Teams
- Epic EMR experience is required
- 16-week contract
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM); rotating day/night scheduling is possible based on department needs and is re-evaluated every 4-week scheduling periodRequirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license (must be active at time of consideration)
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg and oncology nursing experience required
- Hematology/oncology (Heme Onc) experience strongly preferred
- Chemo certification is not required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not acceptedAdditional Information
- Local candidates are accepted
- Former facility employees are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and built into the contract; RTO is limited to 7 days or fewer
