Facility:This inpatient rehabilitation hospital is attached to a major regional medical center and serves as a comprehensive rehabilitation facility with a maximum census of 33 inpatient rehab beds. The facility features a robust interdisciplinary team environment with strong APP support and an active consultation service.
Opportunity:Physician - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Job Details:- Inpatient rehabilitation setting with a maximum census of 33 inpatient rehab patients
- Supervise 3-4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as part of daily responsibilities
- Work within an interdisciplinary team with a majority of patients presenting with neurologic diagnoses including stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Expected to lead team conferences as part of the care coordination process
- Manage a robust consultation service consisting of 25-40 patients
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekend or outpatient responsibilities
- Approximately 30 patient encounters per shift
- Medical management skills required; pain management experience (excluding injections) preferred
- BLS certification required
- Active North Carolina medical license required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
