INTERNAL MEDICINE HEMATOLOGY AND MEDICAL ONCOLOGY

POSITION SUMMARY
The Department seeks a hematology and medical oncology physician to join a community based oncology program within a regional medical center. The role includes outpatient evaluation and management of malignant and benign hematologic conditions, participation in multidisciplinary care pathways, and collaboration with oncology certified nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and advanced practice clinicians. The position supports a strong referral network and provides access to academic tumor boards and subspecialty consultation.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine and/or Hematology and Medical Oncology.
• Residency training in internal medicine.
• Fellowship training in hematology and/or medical oncology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Vermont.
• Training or experience in hematology and medical oncology.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to evaluate and manage malignant and non malignant hematologic and oncologic conditions.
• Skill in collaborating with multidisciplinary oncology teams.
• Capacity to participate in tumor boards and coordinated treatment planning.
• Commitment to patient centered oncology care.
• Ability to function within a community based oncology program with academic affiliations.
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
