PEDIATRICS PEDIATRIC ENDOCRINOLOGY

POSITION SUMMARY

This role supports a pediatric endocrinology service within an integrated pediatric care environment. Responsibilities include providing outpatient endocrine care, participating in inpatient consultations with protected time, and working within a multispecialty pediatric clinic that includes intensive care, neonatal care, and pediatric hospital medicine. The position involves collaboration with pediatric endocrinologists, diabetes educators, nutrition specialists, and dedicated clinical staff who support standardized education for new onset diabetes. The role emphasizes balanced scheduling, coordinated care, and service to a diverse pediatric population.



QUALIFICATIONS

• Board eligible or board certified in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Endocrinology.
• Residency training in Pediatrics.
• Clinical background in Pediatric Endocrinology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New Mexico.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary pediatric team.



COMPETENCIES

• Skill in evaluating and treating pediatric endocrine disorders in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Ability to coordinate diabetes education with specialized clinical staff.
• Capacity to participate in call responsibilities supported by inpatient physician services.
• Proficiency in managing diverse patient populations within a collaborative clinical model.
• Commitment to evidence based pediatric endocrinology practice.
