Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology
We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum Medical Oncologist to join the Bon Secours Cancer Institute at St. Mary s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. This position involves providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for patients with hematology and oncology concerns. The practice offers a collaborative environment with a focus on quality patient care and team support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversight of a Nurse Practitioner during patient care.
- Enroll patients in ongoing research studies.
- Provide call coverage as needed.
- Manage an average of 12-15 patients per day in a hospital setting.
- Collaborate with a team of two physicians for shared patient care.
- Utilize EPIC for documentation and electronic medical records.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (REQUIRED).
- Active Virginia medical license (REQUIRED).
- Current BLS certification (REQUIRED).
- Clean background check and submission of NPDB during name clears (REQUIRED).
- Self-Query NPDB report issued within the last 30 days (REQUIRED).
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology.
- Active Virginia medical license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Successful completion of background checks and NPDB requirements.
