What You ll Do
- Provide specialized internal medicine care for pre-transplant, LVAD, and post-transplant patients with high medical acuity
- Work alongside a team of five Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and other healthcare professionals
- Manage physician-to-physician patient transfers, including remote admissions during night call
- Handle high-acuity cases involving complex cardiac patients
- Support the cardiac transplant and advanced heart failure team with patient management, documentation, and transfer coordination
- Contribute to a patient-centered, multidisciplinary care environment
What You Need
Required: - Valid medical license in the state of Louisiana
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in internal or cardiology-specific practice
- Comfort with remote admissions and high-acuity patient care
Preferred: - Experience with transplant or LVAD patient populations
- Ability to start prior to September with temporary privileges
