ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY HAND SURGERY

POSITION SUMMARY
This role provides comprehensive surgical and non surgical management of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow within a multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of acute injuries and chronic disorders, performance of complex upper extremity procedures, use of minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques, and participation in shared call rotation. The position supports coordinated care, collaboration with rehabilitation professionals, and maintenance of accurate clinical documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board eligible or board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and/or Hand Surgery.
• Residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Hand Surgery.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Indiana.
• Clinical background in Hand Surgery.
COMPETENCIES
• Proficiency in surgical and non surgical management of upper extremity conditions.
• Skill in performing complex reconstructive, trauma, and microsurgical procedures.
• Ability to utilize minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques.
• Effective collaboration with rehabilitation and multidisciplinary clinical teams.

WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice
• Surgical and clinical care delivered across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings.
• Collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and clinical staff.
• Use of modern diagnostic tools and advanced surgical technology.
• Participation in shared call rotation.
• Industry standard EMR utilized for documentation.
