OB/GYN Locum Opportunity Oregon
Position Overview
A community hospital in Oregon is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician to provide ongoing call coverage. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule with off-site beeper call and optional clinic coverage. Providers should be comfortable serving as the primary OB physician in a smaller hospital environment.
Compensation
Regular Rate: $2,515 per 24-hour shift
Call Back Rate: $260/hour
Assignment Details
Location: Oregon
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 3 months initially with potential extension until a permanent provider is secured
Schedule
24-hour off-site beeper call coverage (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
Call ratio: 1:4
Optional clinic coverage available
Coverage need: 2 4 weeks per month
Practice Setting
Acute Care Hospital
40-bed community hospital
Epic EMR
Approximately 15 deliveries per month
Clinical Responsibilities
OB call coverage
Labor and delivery management
Emergency OB/GYN consultations
Gynecologic surgical procedures
Optional outpatient clinic coverage
Serve as primary/solo OB provider when on call
Patient Volume
clinic patients per day (if participating in clinic)
1 2 deliveries per day while on call
2 3 surgeries per week
Call volume varies from 2 7 callbacks per weekend depending on census
Support Staff
Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
CRNA anesthesia support
Family Medicine physicians providing newborn care
2 full-time OB/GYN physicians
Additional recurring locum providers

Qualifications
Required
Board Certified OB/GYN
Active Oregon Medical License
DEA Registration
Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN experience
Comfortable practicing independently in a community hospital setting
Additional Requirements
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
