Job description

We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician for a locum opportunity in New York with a structured 24-hour call schedule and a diverse mix of obstetric and gynecologic cases.

Location:

New York

️ Assignment Details:

  • Start Date: April 2026

  • Duration: 8 weeks

  • Specific coverage blocks available (flexibility preferred)

Schedule:

  • 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM 7:00 PM)

  • First call coverage

  • Mix of day and night shifts

  • Preference for continuous coverage blocks

Practice Setting:

  • Hospital-based OB/GYN unit

  • 94-bed facility

Scope of Work:

  • Manage OB/GYN patients across:

    • Labor & Delivery

    • Gynecologic procedures

  • Procedures include:

    • Vaginal deliveries (SVD & operative)

    • Cesarean sections

    • D&C / D&E

    • Circumcisions

    • Laparoscopic, robotic & abdominal GYN surgeries

  • Patient volume: 0 10 patients per day

️ Support Staff:

  • RNs (day & night coverage)

  • CNAs, clerks

  • Anesthesiologist on call at all times

Requirements:

  • Board Certified OB/GYN

  • Active New York medical license (required)

  • ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience

Additional Details:

  • EMR: Epic

  • Orientation: Billable

  • No telehealth required
